Privacy Policy

The short version

This site does two things: it lets retail stores order Gravity Pack sections, and it lets you request our product catalog by email. We collect the information needed to do those two things, plus standard advertising and analytics measurement — which stays switched off until you make a choice in our cookie banner. We don’t sell your information. Marketing email only goes to people who ticked the box asking for it, and every email we send has an unsubscribe link that works.

What we collect, and why

1. When you place an order

If you order a section, we collect your name, business name, email, phone number, and shipping address so we can process, ship, and support your order, and send you order-related emails (confirmation, shipping, and — if you start a checkout but don’t finish — a short follow-up about your unfinished order; see “Emails we send” below).

Payment happens on Stripe’s hosted checkout page. Your card details go directly to Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number. Stripe’s handling of your payment data is described in Stripe’s privacy policy.

2. When you request the catalog

If you use the catalog download form, we collect your name, work email, and (optionally) your store or business name so we can send you the catalog you asked for.

If you tick the marketing checkbox, we also keep a record of your consent — the checkbox state, the exact wording you were shown, the date and time, and the IP address the request came from. Canadian anti-spam law (CASL) requires us to be able to prove you actually said yes, and that record is how we do it. If you don’t tick the box, you get the catalog email and nothing else.

3. Site usage, advertising, and analytics

We use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and Google Ads measurement, plus Meta (Facebook) advertising measurement, to understand how visitors find and use this site and whether our advertising works.

Here is exactly how that operates:

• Before you interact with the cookie banner, all advertising and analytics storage is set to “denied” by default (Google Consent Mode v2). No advertising or analytics cookies are placed on your device until you make a choice.
• In that denied state, Google’s tags may send limited, cookieless “pings” — basic technical signals (such as the page visited, general device/browser type, and whether consent was granted) that are not stored on your device and that Google uses in aggregate to model campaign performance. If you arrived from a Google ad, the ad-click identifier from the link you clicked may be carried across pages of this site in the page URL (not in a cookie) for the same purpose.
• If you choose “Accept” in the banner, advertising and analytics cookies are enabled: Google Analytics measures how the site is used, and Google Ads measures which ads lead to orders and catalog requests.
• If you choose “Essential only” (or decline), those cookies stay off.
• When you place an order or request the catalog, we may also send a server-side event to Google and to Meta confirming that a purchase or sign-up happened, so we can measure our advertising. Where an email address is included in these events it is sent hashed (scrambled so it is not readable as an address).

4. What we don’t do

• We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
• We don’t collect anything sensitive — this is a wholesale ordering site for businesses.
• We don’t use hidden tracking that you can’t decline.

Emails we send

All email from this site is sent through Resend, our email delivery provider, from a bigbrands.ca address.

Every marketing and follow-up email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing is immediate on our side and takes effect no later than 10 business days in every case, as the law requires. Unsubscribing from marketing does not affect order emails you still need (like a shipping confirmation).

Who we share information with

We share personal information only with the service providers who run this site for us, only so they can do their jobs:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Ads) — analytics and advertising measurement, per your cookie choice
• Meta — advertising measurement (server events, hashed email)
• Resend — email delivery
• Vercel — website hosting — and Neon — our database provider

Some of these providers process data outside Canada (primarily in the United States). When your information is in another country, it is subject to the laws of that country. We choose established providers with strong security practices and contractual privacy commitments.

We will disclose personal information if the law requires it (for example, a court order).

How long we keep it

• Order records: as long as needed to service your account and meet legal/tax record-keeping requirements.
• Catalog leads: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details, or after an extended period of inactivity.
• Consent records: for as long as we send you marketing email, plus a period afterward, so we can demonstrate compliance.
• Analytics data: per the retention settings of the tools above.

Your choices and your rights

• Unsubscribe: click the link in any marketing email, or email us.
• Withdraw consent: you can withdraw your marketing consent at any time, the same ways. Withdrawal is honoured within 10 business days at the latest.
• Change your cookie choice: you can revisit the cookie banner choice at any time — open cookie preferences — and you can clear cookies in your browser.
• Access and correction: you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we’re legally required to keep). Email the Privacy Officer above; we respond within the timelines PIPEDA sets (generally 30 days).
• Complaints: if you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca). Quebec residents may also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we’ll update this page and the effective date above. Material changes to how we use information already collected will be flagged prominently or consented to where required.
